American Sign Language Class Session 4

Six-Week Session








Class time will be from 6:30pm-8:00pm at
Natural Steps Child Development Center
64 Toby Way
Palmyra, VA 22963

In this six-week class we will continue learning conversational ASL and learning story-telling techniques including topics such as:

-visual mapping

-comprehension and production skills

-complex grammar

-short stories


-interactive use of ASL

We will be learning additional vocabulary with a higher emphasis on comprehension of signs and how to have a conversation with others. Additionally, in this class, we will be learning story-telling techniques including how to role-shift, use classifiers, and learn the differences between ASL signs and gestural signs. We will be signing short stories, asking questions, and expanding on our knowledge of session 2, and 3. We will continue an in-depth study of the Deaf community and Deaf culture.
